When we learn that we can't fix people or fix it for them all the time, we've arrived at a place of acceptance and surrender. Too often, many of us spin our brain wheels and heart vibrations, attempting to be a "fixer" for people who haven't decided to fix themselves---yet. 🙏🏽 On that same cliff, we attempt to fix situations that folk haven't made a decision to change or at least work through for themselves. Our job is to empathize, listen, pray for discernment, pray for them, pray for the situation, and aid as God leads us. If we don't pay attention to the trends of being the superwoman or superman, the breakage will begin to be ours. And, we already have so much renovation going on with our life-long fixer-upper----it is named, Self!
"Let go and let God" is more than just beautiful words that we see on hardwood plaques or frames. It is more powerful than what we utter, aimlessly. It has, for me, become a place that I may veer from temporarily, but quickly get back to...because I am reminded to do the thing that I learned best during my Mama's latter days---Surrender. 🙌🏾 God's got it!
