Turned Tables

So many times, we say things without processing the negative outcome or we do things, knowingly or unknowingly, rendering a hurtful or regrettable result. If we take just a moment to fully process how our words may make the other person feel, we may make a different "growth" decision.

In having some in-depth thoughts about how this can be so simple, yet largely change the world, a scripture came to mind. In the broadness, simplicity, and power of these words, we can all do a better job moving forward. We can start by pausing to ask ourselves the question, How would this make me feel if the tables were turned?

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. ~ ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:12‬ ‭(NIV‬‬)

I definitely had to turn the table on a topic with my spouse this morning, after reading this! It was helpful!
